The Burrows Group

Specializing in diagnostic evaluation and treatment for young adults, undergraduate students, law and medical students, parents, families, adolescents, children and young children.

The Burrows Group was created and established by Judith G. Burrows; Psychotherapist, Educator, Life Is Good Playmaker, Supervisor and Massachusetts Mediator. Judy considers herself fortunate to be trained and supported by numerous exceptional professors, programs, supervisors and colleagues. Judy is experienced in the design, implementation and quality leadership of psychiatric hospital units, partial hospital units, and outpatient practices primarily focused on children and families. An Educator by undergraduate degree from Boston University's School for the Arts who worked years teaching across the country after graduation, Judy was compelled to pursue further education in Psychiatric Social Work due to her observations and interactions with children and colleagues in education. Due to the gracious full scholarship awarded by the Smith College School for Social Work, Judy immersed herself in this unique, Residency-based program, training in Philadelphia and Washington, DC and completing her dissertation by applying Experimental research methodologies with children and families at the Georgetown University Hospital.

Asked whether she believes she is a clinician because she was "just born this way," or if she has become analytical due to her rich history of training, practice and experience, Judy answers, "Yes."
